Evolving class action landscape in Australia

Lawyers Weekly takes a look at the evolving class action landscape in Australia, asserting that while the increase in the volume of class actions is under debate, it is clear that the landscape is changing.

Some of the many factors contributing to the changing landscape are diversity in the types of claims being brought, an increase in class action firms, access to litigation funding with over 20 firms now active in Australia, and the use of technology to facilitate better management of class action data.
