Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) reports that class action tourism, the practice of seeking out litigation-friendly jurisdictions to bring a class action, is on the rise.
There have already been over 10 examples of high-profile claims originating across the globe being brought before English Courts. HSF points out that the availability of litigation funding can be an attractive factor when deciding on a jurisdiction.
